Jesus the reason for the season
Glory be to God in heaven for another opportunity He has given to us to see another season of Joy. Many people do not know the importance of this season. To some people it is time eat and dine with love ones. I will like to remind us about the origin of man's problem in this universe.
One thing I want you to understand is that God is the greatest planner. Being all-knowing God, He has already made solutions to problem that may unfold in future.
The problem of this world started in Isaiah 14:12-14
How you are fallen from heaven O lucifer, son of the morning How you are cut down to the ground. You who weakened the nations.
13 For you have said in your heart : I will ascend into heaven. I will exalt my throne above the stares of God: I will also sit on the mount of congregation. On the farthest side of the North.
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like Most High.
In the above scripture we will see that devil proposed in his heart to be like Most High God after being overwhelmed by pride. Initially he was in charge of the Angels that worship and praise the Almighty God until iniquity was found in him.
Revelation 12 :7 -12
7Then war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.

What happened in heaven was properly explained in the book of Revelation quoted above. When Devil decided to be like God, war broke out in heaven he and his angels were cast to the earth. This made the Hosts of heaven to say rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you. This was the genesis of man's problem Therefore, devil went to deceive Adam and Eve in Genesis 3
The birth of Jesus reversed all the evil devil's descent bestowed on the earth.
Luke 2 : 10-14
10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

The birth of Jesus is so important in the history of the universe as it marked the period when there was a new beginning for the whole world. " the transition from woe to peace on earth" as announced by the Angels in the above scriptures.
Therefore Jesus Christ is greater than just human, Give your life to Him today tomorrow may be too late. Ask Him to forgive you all your sins and write your name in the book of life if you want peace in your life.
