PROPHECIES ABOUT JESUS BY PROPHETS BEFORE HE WAS BORN
If you find it difficult to believe those disciples of Jesus Christ and your book mention Bible and the Law of Moses as the scriptures sent to guide human race. What does bible says about Jesus even before he was born? Have you ever heard about the prophecies of the great man of God in Israel, Prophet Isaiah? Let us see some of his prophecies about the birth of Christ and His death.
Isaiah: 7:14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call His name Immanuel. This was fulfilled in the new Testament in Mathew 1;18 many year after.
Isaiah9:6-7 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a son is given; government shall be upon His shoulder, And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Immanuel means God with us: When it was mentioned by prophet Isaiah in 7 ;14, the meaning was not given but God also expatiated further in Chapter 9 ;6 as the Almighty God. But in Mathew 1:23 the meaning was given“God with us”. This is the true revelation of Jesus. He knew what He came to do before He was born being a part of God himself. God with us means God came down to dwell with us. That was why Isaiah said Almighty God that is the son of God that will show the mightiness of God for us. (Like father like son)
Isaiah 53:3 . He is despised and rejected by men, A man of sorrow and acquainted with grief .We hid as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised and we did not esteem him.
This scripture prophesied how His disciples will reject Him because of the persecution He will face and all came to pass as He was betrayed by one of the disciples and they all scattered because they cannot even stop this great assignment anyway.
Isaiah 53:4. Surely He born our grief and carried our sorrows: Yet we esteem Him stricken, by God and afflicted.
Because at that point He has become a sacrifice for God and he was carrying the sins of the whole world. Jesus became the sacrifice whose blood must be shed for the remission of men sins. God had to turn His face from Him while on the cross because He was carrying the sins of the whole world.
Isaiah53:5. But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we were healed
Isaiah53:6. All we like sheep have gone astray: we have turned, everyone to his own way: And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquities of us all.
This is the reason for His death on the cross. The iniquities of us all were laid on Him to do only one sacrifice that will cater for all human race. This was foretold many years before Jesus was born. These were the confirmations prophet Muhammad was asked to confirm to clear his doubt and I think you have to confirm this right away so that you will not be mislead.
Isaiah 53:7. He was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth. He was led as a lamb to the slaughter. And as sheep before its shearers is silent, So he opened not His mouth.
Isaiah 53:8He was taken from prison and from judgment. And who will declare His generations? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for transgression of my people He was stricken.
Isaiah 53:10. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise Him: He has put Him to grief. When you make His soul an offering for sin, He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days .And the pleasure of the Lord shall prolong in His hand.
This was the original plan of God before Jesus came to this sinful world whether you believe it or not it is true because all these prophecies came to pass in the life of Jesus John19;2, John 19;5, mark 14;65. You will see how He was humiliated, bruised, beaten and killed. If your book refer you to bible, that is the truth in the bible.
That Isaiah 53:10 also explained how God planned to prolong the days of Jesus Christ after crucifixion : He shall prolong His days. Meaning after He has been offered as offering for sin He will live again (Resurrection). The death and the resurrection of Jesus Christ were prophesied many years before He was born. What
